Marta Paradés (1986) is a PhD candidate at the Department of Political Science and International Relations in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her research focuses on political attitudes and identities. In her thesis, she addresses the relationship between European identity and context, paying special attention to the impact of the financial crisis. She has participated in several competitive research projects and she has recently published the study ‘The political representation of immigrants in local elections’. As a visiting student Marta Paradés also participated in a number of methodological courses at the European University Institute and Mannheim University. In 2013 she participated in the capacity building ‘A Common Future in the Eurozone?’ and she co-wrote an analysis of the 2015 Spanish general election for the website of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union.
